I want to hire you and/or your group. How much does it cost?
Each booking is different depending on the group, travel requirements, duration, etc. Please contact me for a quote with the following information:
Date, place and time of your event Requested group (ensemble) Type of event Special music requests
I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Do I need to provide the musicians with anything?
Yes. I/We will require chairs (without arm rests) and a shady place to perform. Some instruments (especially strings) can be damaged by exposure to the sun so please help us out by providing a place with trees, or, a large umbrella that will cover the group.
I/We will provide our own stands and music.
How far will you travel?
General rule of thumb is 50km from Ottawa. If your event is further than this, we may need to charge travel time.
What happens if my wedding starts late?
This is one reason we require minimum 2 hour bookings. This way there is no need to panic if your event starts late. If however it happens to exceed the booked time, then we will charge extra in 15 minute increments.
What will you wear?
I/We will wear all black unless otherwise asked for something different.
When do I pay you?
After the booking is set, I will send you a contract for the specified times and amounts. You will need to return this to me with a 50% deposit. The remainder is to be received on the day of your event. Note: it is a good idea to make a groomsman responsible for payment as a wedding day can be very hectic! Deposits are non-refundable.
