Frequently Asked Questions
1)How much do you charge for an event? Prices are subject to many considerations including location, venue, and length. Please send us an email with as much information as you can provide, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible!
2)Do I need to provide you with anything? Yes! We require 4 chairs (without arms) and if your event is outdoors, we will need some sort of protection for the weather (a large umbrella if raining, or shade if sunny). Opus four will provide music stands and music.
3)Do you take requests? We would be happy to try to accommodate music requests but we will require at least two weeks of notice. An extra charge will usually apply if the music is not already in our repertoire
4)What music is in your repertoire? We have lots of music! 5)How far will you travel? General rule of thumb is 50km from Ottawa. If your event is further than this, we may need to charge travel time.
6)What happens if my event starts late? This is one reason we require minimum 2 hour bookings. This way there is no need to panic if your event starts late. If however it happens to exceed the booked time, then we will charge extra in 15 minute increments.
7)When do I pay you? After the booking is set, I will send you a contract for the specified times and amounts. You will need to return this to me with a 50% deposit. The remainder is to be received on the day of your event. Note: it is a good idea to make a groomsman responsible for payment as a wedding day can be very hectic! Deposits are non-refundable.
8)What will you wear? I/We will wear all black unless otherwise asked for something different.
